The perforation detector is used in the packaging industry and is used to detect perforations and breaks on the material. It is often used to count the number of products on bag-making machines. A high voltage bar or a sensor with a single emitter connected to the output of the device is installed facing the grounded surface along which the material being tested passes. When a perforation is detected, the detector immediately sends a short signal with a period of 30 ms using an optocoupler pair at the output.
